GM Ventures × Peak Energy
Sodium-Ion Battery Partnership Announcement
I 3D modeled and animated some the key objects that anchor the film's timeline of human energy. The oil pump, steam engine, and robotic arm, etc — translating each era's technology into the clean, line-based visual language used throughout the piece.

Blender modeling and animation
Rather than hand-animate 2D linework frame-by-frame (a heavy lift at an isometric angle) I modeled each object in 3D and used Grease Pencil with black shaders to simulate the 2D line style, giving me the efficiency of 3D animation with the visual language the film required.
Storyboard
Sodium-ion is an emerging category, and the goal of the animation was to make it feel like the obvious next step. The brief was to build confidence in the technology among investors and the public, and to position Peak Energy at the frontier where AI and automation are driving new demand for power.
